Any attempts at it yourself?
There is a basic tab on UG and videos of Paul playing it on YouTube. I learnt it recently via this method, but unfortunately I am unable to create a full tab. You can use the one I made in the first post and expand on that.
And can someone upload that MC Lars tab as an image of some sort, I want to have a look at it, cheers.

I've tried it a bit, and I'm either horrible at tabbing or lack the time/patience
I didn't know there was a tab out there, looks like it has about 1/2 of the song, this should do. And maybe I'll even try to figure out the rest myself.
Thanks for the reply.

Nah it's cool, I understand. But even if you wrote it all down on paper and scanned it in, I could review it!!!
There's the full song on UG, I believe, but it's a text tab, not GP4.
I know for a fact that the first solo is this (I watched Paul play it from 3 feet away):
E--------------------------------------------------------14-16-17-16-14------------------
B--------------------------------------------14-16-17--------------------17-16-14-----
G--------------------------------11-13-14------------------------------------------------
D---------------------11-13-14-----------------------------------------------------------
A-----------9-11-12-----------------------------------------------------------------------
E-9-11-12---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
etc...it does not start in 12th position and ascend up in one position!!
I can play the whole thing, so if you have any questions, I can help.

Thanks for the help, I'm pretty busy at the moment but I might be able to start tabbing when the holidays are over.

I'm not usually one to ask, but would you be able to export it as an image file for me and post it here? bitmap or html would be great, as I don't have access to my pc at the moment. I can check the accuracy and give you feedback!!

Awesome, thanks for that! That looks great, seriously. I wish I had my GP4 to listen to it.
There are a few positioning things that I did wrong, but we can sort that out another time, nice work!

If you have a postable USB you can use TuxGuitar. I don't use this software, but a friend of mine says it's good.. and free.

By the way I did a backing track of Mt Fuji Xmas. Let me know if you like drums.

Unfortunately it's not complete . it stops a couple of bars after Bruce's solo starts.

Too fast for everyone?
Does anyone have a program that slows video speed down but keep pitch the same?

no very simple, i think the problem is it would take more time to rip the video, import it, and isolate the part than it would to actually write it down

Thanks alot, but I don't want to download too much crap onto this laptop, I'd only break it, like I do everything else. The BT is good, but I think the only one in the first post has drum samples that sound just a tad better (in my opinion, of course), but I will add it to the first post too to offer a selection. Hmm...the EDIT function is gone from the first post...nice one!! Quote: Too fast for everyone? Does anyone have a program that slows video speed down but keep pitch the same? I hope this wasn't sarcasm or anything. Please be aware that there isn't much activity in here unless I'm around, so don't EXPECT something to be tabbed within 2 hours of you posting. If you can't get it because it's too fast, then chances are, it will be too fast for others too, and as MissMisstreater righty said, most people aren't going to bother to do all that if you won't either. I don't have instant access to a pc atm, so I can't be here. Plus the fact I don't have all my programs, so that puts me off transcribing too. I will have a listen to the lick soon and attempt it, but patience is important. ziko wrote: Holy Cow this site is reaching new levels in awesomness!!!!

That's the G3 version that was played live in 2007. I do have a tab for the original version in Powertab (I think), but can't access it. Have you searched the tab sites?
And for everyone else, I have thought today that I would like to REALLY bulk up the first post (if the edit button appears again). I want to just tab loads of Paul's stuff, like rare songs, guest appearances etc. Not so much Mr Big or anything...Finishing his solo albums is not really too high on my list either, as tab books can be bought or Ultimate Guitar etc.
Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of the old band Paul was in, 'Black ...' something...I have their songs on CD and some of that solo stuff is good.

Well, I have done a bit of reading and seems like the edit function is gone, great. Thanks to the guys that suggested THAT one.
Anyway, I fucked up a quote in my previous post, and I won't be able to add what I was going to, so...
In addition to what I wanted to tab, I was thinking of attempting those Hendrix covers, but his playing there is SO loose and legato, it'd be pretty tough for me, I'm used to 16th notes only!!

Hendrix covers sound good! Any chance for Red House/Hey Joe coming first?
